Kennel Attendant – Overnight

We are currently looking for overnight kennel attendant there is a bed and you are allowed and encouraged to sleep after your duties are complete. You must be a hardworking, motivated individual that has a great passion for dogs! This is a part time position, 16 to 24 hours, possible full time available at a later date. You must be at least 18 years of age and have an open availability, flexible schedule and able to work weekends and holidays. Dog handling experience is a MUST - training, kennel, vet clinic, leader dog, previous grooming experience etc.


 Some of the duties for include, but are not limited to:


Night Staff Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a clean, organized environment.
  • Handling all types/sizes of dog breeds on and off leash.
  • Monitor any changes in soundness and health of pet clients and report information to supervisor.
  • Ability to stay motivated and work alone.
  • Feeding of dogs and giving proper medications when necessary.
  • 6pm to 8am shift 


Skills and Requirements:

  • Experience working a 3rd shift preferred.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Prior experience at a kennel, pet boarding, or veterinary office required
  • Must be confident handling dogs.
  • Ability to prioritize, with sound decision-making skills
  • Dependable, reliable, and efficient
  • Willingness/ability to work non-standard shifts
  • Must be able to lift loads (up to 40 lbs.)
